COVID-19 ASSISTANCE
Providing filing assistance for COVID – 19 financial help from the Federal and State government. Assistance can be done via teleconference or in person.
Services offered for individuals in SD County include EDD for individuals with W2 and self-employed with 1099.
- Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and Advance ($10k)
- Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
- Regular Unemployment Insurance Filing
- Disability Insurance (DI) due to Covid-19 illness (medical certification required)
- Paid Family Leave (PFL) claim due to Covid-19
- Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) filing for self-employed and independent contractors. If eligible, will receive extra $600 / week from Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation
- Additional Unemployment Insurance (max 13 weeks) for individuals who exhausted regular unemployment insurance
- Stimulus Check filing for individuals who are:
- Individuals who just started receiving either Social Security or SSI benefits in 2020, and who did not file tax returns for 2018 or 2019
- Recipients of Social Security retirement, survivors or disability benefits who did not file a 2018 or 2019 tax return and who have a dependent child under 17.
- Individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income, or SSI, benefits are also encouraged and who have a dependent child under 17 .
- Individuals who didn’t file tax in 2018 or 2019 due to earning less than $12,200
